Years after Billy's Christmas masacre Billy's brother Ricky is still coming to grips of what he saw that fatefull day. As
the day grows closer Ricky begins to remember more and more and those horific memories are slowly driving him over the edge
of sanity and history just might repeat itself.
Ricky isn't quite as good as his dear older brother and I felt that there was more of the same from the first movie, other
then another guy in the Santa suit it was pretty much the same plot. Except the main difference is Ricky had an objective,
a goal. Kill the Nun he felt destroyed his brother's life with years of physical abuse. That's the key, Billy randomly killed
but Ricky had an objective. The suspense was plenty, Ricky trying to hold on to his sanity was touching. But we all knew he
wasn't going to win that fight. After all it is a Silent Night, Deadly Night movie. The acting was not quite as good as the
first movie and it seems to drag on at times. But for the most part a welcomed second edition to the trilogy of horror. If
you liked the first one, you will enjoy the sequel. But if you didn't like the first movie then steer clear of number 2, I
give it...7 STARS.
I agree with Zedd and I disagree as well. I found it really slow getting started. Over an hour of flashbacks of the first
movie and strange dreams. But it does pick up for the third act and I won't give it away. But there is a third movie. I
give it 6 STARS.
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ INTERESTING (The sequel is a unique and interesting way to continue.)
+ GOOD EFFECTS (The effects are most impressive.)
+ STORY (The story is slow, but works.)
+ CHARACTERS (The characters are interesting.)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- SLOW (We both thought it was slow to get started.)
- ACTING (The acting isn't quite as good as the first movie.)
- FAN BASED (If you liked the first movie, you will enjoy this one. However, if you hated the first movie with a passion.
Then this isn't the movie for you.)
